Caltech Women's Volleyball Celebrates Senior Day vs Chapman

PASADENA, Calif. – Caltech Women's Volleyball battled the Chapman Panthers as it celebrated senior day in Braun Gymnasium Friday night. 

Senior Guilia Murgia (Iglesias, Italy / Istituto di Istruzione Superiore G. Asproni) was honored prior to the game for her contributions to Caltech Women's Volleyball over the course of her career. Listed as a setter, Murgia has been playing the libero position this season. She has recorded more than 20 digs in six games this year and racked up 13 against Chapman. Junior Alize Bakker (Portland, Ore. / Westview) led the Beavers Friday with 14 digs. 

First-year Rena Zhang (Peoria, Ill. / Dunlap High School) led all Caltech players with eight kills against the Panthers. 

Caltech travels to Whittier to face the Whiter Poets Saturday November 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the SCIAC regular-season finale.
