REDLANDS, Calif. – Caltech Men's Water Polo traveled to NCAA Division III's No. 3 Redlands Saturday morning for a SCIAC matchup at Thompson Aquatic Center in Redlands, Calif.
Freshman Alexander Alexandrov (Atlanta, Ga. / Chamblee High School) opened the scoring in the first quarter, assisted by junior Carl Crum (San Carlos, Calif. / Sacred Heart Preparatory). Senior Justin Hong (Pasadena, Calif. / Pasadena) followed moments later, also assisted by Crum, and Crum capped the first-quarter scoring with a goal of his own. Hong added a power-play goal in the second quarter, and Alexandrov closed out Caltech's scoring with another goal in the third quarter, assisted again by Crum.
Senior Shuhul Mujoo (San Jose, Calif. / Evegreen Valley) played the first half in net, making six saves. Freshman Tim Zhang (Brea, Calif. / Troy High School) took over in the second half.
Caltech returns home to face Chapman, Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Braun Pools on the campus of Caltech.
