Caltech Men's Soccer played a spirited game against the Stags of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at home at Caltech on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Caltech pestered the CMS defense with 12 shots throughout the game. Those shot attempts helped result in six corner kicks for the Beavers.
Junior
Matthew Luk (Bel Air, Md. C. / Milton Wright) proved to be a problem for the CMS defense, often breaking in with space on the left wing to create chances. He had four attempts at goal including what was perhaps the Beavers best opportunity of the game early in the second half. He turned towards goal and rifled a shot from 30 yards out that went past the keepers' outstretched glove and just barely outside the far post.
Fellow junior
Dean Yao (Philadelphia, Penn. / Germantown Friends) also contributed with three attempts at net against the Stags.
Caltech travels to face La Verne in La Verne on Saturday October 10 at 7:00 p.m.
