Research and STEM Activities

Completed the UCSC Science Internship Program in computational media, helping co-author a paper published in ACM CHI Conference 2021... Interned in Stony Brook's computer science department... Worked closely with Dr. David Gu to develop novel algorithms for solving the Rubik's Cube.

Prior to Caltech

Academic Honors: USACO Gold Division, AIME 2021 Qualifier, Gold Medal in Le Grand Concours (National French Contest).

Athletic Honors: 2022 PAL All-League Honorable Mention, 2021 CCS Division 6 champions.

Personal

Son of Xuefu and Minwen... Twin brother to Bobby, who also plays on the team... Plays violin... Chose Caltech because of its tight-knit community, stellar academics and research, and the rare opportunity to continue playing baseball alongside two of his fellow high school teammates.
