Biography
Research and STEM Activities:
Served as Outdoor Lab Foundation High School Leader, where he instructed 6th graders from his district about archery through the lens of physics... Conducted research on personality and coachability for AP Research which sought to answer the question of how different personality types, based on the Big-Five model, responded to different methods of coaching, among other implications.
Prior to Caltech:
Academic Honors: High Honor Roll... 1st Team Academic All-State... Colorado American Chemist Society Award... Physics Stretch for Excellence... Outstanding Senior in Math Award.
Athletic Honors: Columbine Rookie of the Year.
Personal:
Was a member of the ACDA National Honor Choir as well as the Colorado All-State Jazz and Traditional Choirs as a junior and senior in high school... Additionally made All-County honor choir... Can play many string instruments, piano and some brass instruments such as trumpet and euphonium... In free time, enjoys lifting weights and producing music electronically... Chose Caltech because he loved the community and non-competitive aspect of Caltech's culture, including the famous honor code... Also appreciated the beautiful campus with the opportunity to be surrounded by people who make each other better, not only academically but athletically and emotionally as well.
