Software intern at Fieldpiece...Worked on COSMOS in a team of three...researched, set up a procedure, and proceeded to carry out project on the effect of insulin on 3T3 cell proliferation...Lab work with chick embryos, xenopus eggs, hydra, and tissue culture...Worked along side Dr. John Lowengrub and Dr. Sohail Jahid...Injected streptozotocin in mice to induce Type I Diabetes, take daily glucose measurements on multiple cohorts, perform bioscaffold implantation surgery on mice at the Scintillon Institute...Aided in larger project with Dr. Yun Yung to test if human islet transplantation surgery would be effective in treating Type I Diabetes.
