Research and STEM activities
Learned to program in NCAR Command Language by writing scripts to compute components of the moist static energy budget over the eastern United States and adjacent water following the method of a paper by Caltech GPS department members Bordoni and Chen with the aim of determining the energetic contributors to elevated precipitation near the Gulf Stream during the summer under the mentorship of Prof. Simona Bordoni as part of a SURF fellowship the summer of 2015...Studied volumes of hyperbolic 3-manifolds and wrote a report on limit sets of Kleinian groups, using Methematics to compute and visualize these sets for different methods, as part of a SURF fellowship in geometry under Prof. Yi Ni and Dr. Maria Trnkova in summer 2014.

Prior to Caltech
Played tennis for all four years in high school...Played #1 singles as a junior and senior...Made the Maine All-Star team...Made the final 16 in the Maine State singles tournament...Member of the Runner up team in the entire state his junior year...Placed third in the Maine Association of Math Leagues as a senior.
