Biography
Research and STEM Activities
Researched a machine learning algorithm called GANs with Horizon Inspires mentored by Ph.D. Jordan T. Ash. Also participated in an internship at NASA, where he worked on web development for the planning and scheduling group.
Prior to Caltech
In Athletics, Duan was selected All-Conference 1st Team as well All-Conference Honorable Mention. Academically, he was selected his school's Valedictorian, was a National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, and earned an USACO Gold medal.
Personal
A "decent skier", Duan looks forward to being part of the tight-knit community, surrounded by outstanding research and professors.
