Research and STEM Activities
Completed a Database Management internship at the Texas Department of Transportation... Conducted IB Extended Essay research in the field of electromagnetic induction and its relation to harmonic motion; wrote research papers on the subjects of complex analysis and Doppler effect modeling in a computer program.
Prior to Caltech
Academic Honors: National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Elected Treasurer of National Honor Society, International Baccalaureate Diploma Recipient, Elected Officer for Mathematics Honor Society, IBM Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship Recipient.
Athletic Honors: First Team Academic All-State, All-District (25-5A) Honorable Mention, Leander Lion Pride Award, Academic All-District (25-5A) Award.
Personal
Son of James and Linda... Plays several instruments, including guitar, piano, and bass... Chose Caltech because of the opportunity to play baseball while still attending a very rigorous and respected academic program... Likes being at Caltech because it offers many opportunities to participate in research or network out to companies, allowing students to find ways to do and learn what they want... Favorite part about being a Caltech athlete is his teammates.
