Judah Bates began their first season as a member of the Caltech women’s basketball coaching staff in 2020.

Bates traveled 35 miles west to Caltech after serving as a four-year athlete for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, ending their playing career as three-time Defensive Player of the Week and two-time SCIAC Scholar-Athlete.

Hailing from Anaheim, Bates graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2020 with a degree in Biochemistry. They are continuing on with a pursuit of a Ph.D in Bioengineering from Caltech.
