Played in 14 games for Caltech last season...Played a careerhigh 12 minutes against Whittier College on 1/28/12...Recorded herfirst career assist against Texas Lutheran on 12/16/11


As a First-Year (2010-2011):

Made her Caltech debut against Southwestern College on12/3/10...Played in three games for the Beavers

If you had TIVO in your room, what is the TV show youset it for? Ghost Whisperer or QuantumLeap

If Hollywood was making a movie about you, who wouldplay you and what would the name of the movie be?Parminder Nagra would play me and it would be titled To Mars andBeyond!

Tattoos?  Mars; because it’s amazingand I want to go there!

If you were a superhero, what would your hero name beand what would your power be? Celestial Wind; to be ableto go into space without wearing a spacesuit.

If you found a magic lantern, complete with magic genie,what would your three wishes be?

1. For my family and me to be healthy and happy (of course!)

2. To become an astronaut and the first person on Mars

3. To be an inspiration to others (especially kids!)

What is the one invention that you wish you had been theperson to invent? Airplane

Favorite athlete? Dara Torres.  She was/isso determined! She didn’t let her age keep her fromparticipating in the Olympics AND she got nine medals!)

Favorite scientist? Marie Curie. I admire herpersistence and the fact that she made huge strides for women inscience.

Who is the person in your life that is the mostresponsible for helping you to be who you are today? Therehasn’t been just one person; but my parents have definitelyinfluenced who I am today. Their most significant contribution hasbeen their encouragement and support of my dream of becoming anastronaut.

Why is math or science so you? Because math andscience allow me to combine my love of logic, creativity,curiosity, and discipline.

What is your favorite time period in history?The Space Age (1957-1973); so many developments were made soquickly in the space industry as a result of competition and wehaven’t been able to reach that pace (again) yet.

If you could meet anyone  who would you want tohave coffee with? Neil Armstrong

Favorite family tradition? Celebrating Diwali(Indian festival of lights) with grandparents every year.

What makes you laugh so hard you can’t stop or youend up doubled over? The phrase “NegativeNelly”

What is the best advice your parents have ever givenyou? Be patient. Always aim high.
