I chose Caltech because of the tight knit community that it fosters.
Research and STEM Activities:
Researched the piezoelectric effect as exhibited by Rochelle Salt...Through AP Capstone program wrote 3 research papers that evaluated the factors leading to Venezuela's humanitarian crisis and proposed a course of action to reestablish democracy....Explored the economic implications of prison privatization in the US....Interpreted flood data in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey to develop more effective flood emergency protocol...While a Jason Learning Intern, developed phenomena based STEM curricula that is utilized in professional development training across the nation and regions of China.
