Lindsey Garcia began her coaching at Caltech during the 2019-20 academic year, serving as Assistant Coach for both the men's and women's water polo programs. Covering a wide variety of responsibilities including coaching, scouting, practice planning, player development, social media, and trip planning she has been instrumental in the success of both teams.
“Since her arrival to our team, Coach Garcia’s expertise has helped both programs achiever higher performance and success," Head Coach Jon Bonafede said. "She has a wealth of water polo knowledge, a high level of self-awareness, and she is an excellent educator and mentor. The student-athletes at Caltech have benefited immensely from her coaching abilities.”
Garcia came to Caltech after playing Division I water polo for Cal State Northridge on scholarship; she was a two-year varsity starter for the Matadors. During her time playing she helped CSUN to a top-20 ranking in the nation and earned the Varsity N Certificate for outstanding academic achievement. Majoring in Business Law, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2019.
Garcia is also the 14U girls coach for Rose Bowl Aquatics where she leads the planning, organization and supervision for all team practices and games.
She additionally serves as the head coach of South Pasadena High School's boys and girls water polo and swim & dive teams.
Originally from Eagle Rock, California, Garcia attended Eagle Rock High School where she won the CIF Championship four times.
