Research and STEM Activities
Completed a software engineering internship at Anyscale in Summer 2020, where he developed automatic streaming of resource usage metrics of customer nodes in their computer cluster to a central Cortex database; also generated persistent metrics for both internal and customer-facing observability to assist customers with health checks... Programmed a Deep Learning GPU Training System (DIGITS) and migrated service to Python 3.6... Member of the Computer Team.
Prior to Caltech
Academics: USACO Gold Division 1st Place in ACSL Virginia, 2nd Prize at ACSL All-Star Contest, National Spanish Exam Gold Medalist.
Athletic Honors: Captain of Varsity Tennis Team 2019, Virginia State Champion 2019, USTA MAS L4+ Super 660 Champion, 2018 USTA MAS L3 Clay Court Champion.

Son of Yuhong and Yuping... Younger brother to Kathryn... Likes Caltech because of the people... Favorite part about Caltech Athletics is being able to compete and cheer with his teammates.
