PASADENA, Calif. – Ten different players scored for
Redlands, the nation's No. 2 ranked squad, as they posted a
24-6 victory over Caltech Saturday morning in men's SCIAC
water polo action at the Braun Pool.
Leading the way for Redlands (12-12, 3-0 SCIAC) was Christian Ogawa
who scored six goals, five of which came in the second half. Grant
Harrington wasn't far behind for the Bulldogs offensive
charge as the freshman found the back of the net on four
occasions.
Redlands raced out to a 6-0 lead after the first quarter and
continued to add on to that total by scoring the first six goals of
the second quarter before Caltech (0-16, 0-3) got on the board when
Jack Blackwood scored with 3:16 left in the first half.
The Bulldogs increased their lead to 20-3 after the third quarter.
The Beavers offense was able to post three goals in the final
quarter.
Adam Kahn posted a hat trick for the home squad by scoring goals in
the second, third and fourth quarters. Josh Hardenbrook rounded out
the scorers for the Beavers with two goals.
