CERRITOS, Calif. – In a non-conference men's water polo match-up, Cerritos scored the game's first five goals and never looked back in knocking off Caltech 14-3 on Wednesday evening.

Adam Khan scored all three goals for the Beavers in posting his first hat trick of the season after recording three hat tricks during the 2010 campaign.

After the first eight minutes the home squad held a 5-0 edge before Khan put Caltech on the board with 3:11 left in the second period. Cerritos (7-4) responded with a goal 25 seconds later as they took a 6-1 lead at halftime.

The two teams each scored a goal in the third period making the score 7-2 entering the final eight minutes. During the final stanza, Cerritos posted a 7-1 scoring advantage to put any hopes of a Caltech (0-5) comeback away.

Ben Grabowski made a season high 13 blocks in goal for Caltech.
