CLAREMONT, CA -- The Caltech women's volleyball team started SCIAC road play with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-5, 25-10) loss to ClaremontMuddScripps on Tuesday evening.

The Athenas Annie Fleming led the charge with a match high 12 kills on 16 swings. Teammate Katrina Lau had a match nine digs to led the back row defense.

ClaremontMuddScripps hit .360 for the match (36 kills) and never hit worse than .296 in any of the three sets in posting the win.

Paige Logan had a Caltech best four kills. Rachel Hess had a season high eight digs to tie for team best honors with Catherine Jamshidi.

Caltech goes out of conference on Friday night when they travel to Santa Ana for a 7:00 p.m. match.
