IRVINE, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2016) – Sophomore Charles Ross (Wexford, Pa. / North Allegheny) scored four goals on an efficient six attempts but the Caltech men's water polo team was unable to muster enough offense to overcome Concordia Irvine University on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles stormed out to an 8-3 lead in the first quarter and had the game put away by halftime thanks to a 15-5 edge.  Senior Shaurya Gilani (Chicago, Ill. / Adlai Stevenson) would make 17 saves over the course of the game, including limiting the hosts to four goals in the entire second half, while senior Chris Bradley (Half Moon Bay, Calif. / Junipero Serra) tallied three goals and as many assists.  Ross also drew a team-high four exclusions while sophomore Eshan Govil (Redwood City, Calif. / Sacred Heart Prep) and rookie Bradley Justice (El Cajon, Calif. / Grossmont) dished out two assists apiece.

Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers take part in the Chaffey Mini-Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 22, when they will face both host Chaffey College and San Diego Miramar College in Rancho Cucamonga.
