PASADENA (Nov. 1, 2017) – Freshman center Steven Csaposs (Davis, Calif. / Davis) had another six-goal effort as the Caltech men's water polo team hosted the University of La Verne on Wednesday evening.

Csaposs, the Beavers' leading scorer provided a consistent presence for the Beavers throughout the game and found the back of the net at least once in every period. Freshman Rahul Arun (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E Stevenson) found Csaposs on two of his goals. Caltech put forth its strongest period against an experienced La Verne group. The Beavers came one goal away from matching the Leopards in the third as Csaposs accounted for two of the goals. The other two came from freshman Neil Sanderson (Laguna Beach, Calif. / Winchester) off another pass from Arun, and then from Alex Janosi (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Dexter) who goalie at the time John Lloyd (San Diego, Calif. / Torrey Pines) found streaking up the pool on a rope from one end of the pool to the other who easily put away his only goal of the game. Janosi also went 4-for-4 on sprints.

Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers will have the remainder of the week to prepare for Saturday's Orange Out-Senior Day clash with the University of Redlands. The game is set for a 3 p.m. start time.
