Alison Noyes (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) continued her return to dominant form despite falling in three sets.
Noyes led the Beavers with 11 kills on just 18 attacks for an outstanding .556 hitting percentage. She added four blocks to her impressive outing at the net while junior
Dallas Taylor (Phoenix, Ariz./Saguaro) also positively impacted the offense with a .294 percentage on the night. contributing six kills on 17 attempts.
Caltech fell behind early in each of the first two sets (though started the match with a 4-2 edge in the first), with late rallies in both coming up short before a tighter third set in which the Beavers stayed within three points until the very end, even surging ahead at 18-16. The hosts rattled off nine of the final 12 points to claim the set and overall victory.
