GREENSBORO, N.C. – Four athletes from the Caltech men's swim & dive team will compete at the NCAA National Championships this week across eight different events.
Held this year at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, first-year
Simon Hu and juniors
Naci Keskin,
Christopher Pukszta and
Leo Yang will take the pool on the national stage after a successful 2022-23 season.
The quartet will race in the 200-yard medley relay on Wednesday before a busy Thursday of the 200 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay, and Keskin and Pukszta competing individually in the 200 freestyle. Keskin's seed time of 1:38.82 is the 16th fastest seed time in the nation, and the Istanbul, Turkey native finished fourth in the event at last month's SCIAC Championships.
Friday will see the team go the distance in the 800-yard free relay. They hold a seed time of 6:40.55 for 16th overall after winning silver medals at the conference championships.
Finally on Saturday, Saturday Keskin will swim the 100 free, Yang will swim the grueling 1650 free, and all four team up for the 400 free relay.
