PASADENA, Calif. – Caltech Women's Basketball took on the University of Redlands Wednesday night in a mid-week SCIAC matchup at Braun Gymnasium.
Highlighting the night was senior playmaker Hope Arnett (Torrance, Calif. / Chadwick School), who dished out a career-high nine assists to her teammates along with a game-high six steals from the opposition. She finished with ten points including a pair from beyond the three-point arc.
The visiting Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first, but the Beavers responded with a three-pointer from junior Kodie Vondra (Livingston, Mont. / Park), who eventually led both teams with three triples, adding a two-pointer for 11 points in the game along with six rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Fellow junior Kathryn Edwards (Centennial, Colo. / Arapahoe) led the Beavers in the scoring column with 20 points, matching Vondra's six rebounds and one assist and adding two steals and a block.
Caltech capitalized on offensive rebounds and outscored the Bulldogs 9-6 on second-chance points.
Next up for Head Coach Annie Tarakchian and the Beavers is a road contest at the Cal Lutheran Regals this Saturday at 4 p.m.
