Women’s Soccer Faces Pomona-Pitzer on Senior Day

Caltech women's soccer squared off with the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Saturday, as the team celebrated its senior day.

Seniors Sophia Steven (Broomfield, Colo. / Peak to Peak Charter), Kyla Cook (Oakland, Calif. / Athenian) and Meher Banik (Foster City, Calif. / Aragon) were honored prior to the match for their contributions to Caltech women's soccer over the course of their careers.

Steven earned the start in goal for the second time this season, making seven saves. It was her second consecutive 7-save performance as she also recorded that many against Cal Lutheran on Oct. 4. Her effort Saturday helped keep Pomona-Pitzer scoreless in the first half.

Caltech will travel to Redlands to face the University of Redlands Saturday, Oct. 25.
