Men’s Water Polo Battles Cal Lutheran

Caltech men's water polo faced the Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran Saturday Oct. 11 at the Braun Pools.

Sophomore Carl Crum (San Carlos, Calif. / Sacred Heart Preparatory) frustrated Kingsmen defenders, drawing five exclusions in the match to tie his career high in that category. He leads the team with 24 drawn exclusions this season. Crum also added two assists on the night and stayed disciplined defensively as he was not called for a single exclusion.

Junior Axel Haydt (Austin, Texas / Westlake) contributed two goals on the night and was one of five Caltech goal scorers. Senior Bram Schork (Austin, Texas / Westlake) also scored for the Beavers, bringing his total to 59 goals on the year, the third most in all of SCIAC.

Senior goalkeeper Sujit Iyer (Marietta, Ga. / Wheeler) was a wall in the net, making seven saves. He has recorded at least seven saves in seven different games this year.

Caltech travels to Redlands to face the University of Redlands Saturday, Oct. 25 at 11:00 a.m.
