Women's Water Polo Takes on No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Caltech Women's Water Polo went on the road to take on the nationally-ranked No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Wednesday evening.

Junior utility Maya Dickson (Atlanta, Ga. / North Atlanta) led the Beavers on the offensive side of things, tallying her eighth hat trick of the season and adding an assist. After her four-point performance, she has now surpassed 60 points this season. Dickson was stout defensively as she collected three steals.

Sophomore attacker Emma Titus (Hood River, Ore. / Hood River Valley) joined Dickson with a good defensive game. Titus notched a trio of steals and drew two exclusions.

Senior attacker Charlotte Zhang (San Diego, Calif. / Torrey Pines) scored her sixth goal of the season in Wednesday's contest. Zhang also kicked off the game with her 20th sprint win of the season, a total that she's tripled from 2024. First-year attacker Yolotzin Subdias (Los Angeles / Eagle Rock) also reached a milestone in the game when she collected her 50th point of the season in the fourth quarter, also setting up Dickson for her third goal of the game.

The next game for Head Coach Jonathan Bonafede and his Beavers will be on Saturday, April 12 where they'll host the nationally ranked number five La Verne Leopards. Action is set to get underway at Braun Pool at 11 a.m.
