Caltech Women's Basketball Battled a tough opponent in the University of Redlands on the road Wednesday night.
First-year Isabella Lo (San Jose, Calif. / The Harker School) once again showed her tenacity on defense, collecting four steals for the second consecutive game. It was her third game this season with at least four steals. She is now tied with sophomore teammate Kyra Phaychanpheng (Chino Hills, Calif. / Chino Hills) for the team lead with 21 steals this season. Lo also dished out a team-high three assists against Redlands.
Sophomore Zeynep Goktepe (Istanbul, Turkey / The MacDuffie School) led the Beavers in scoring with 15 points against Redlands on five-of-nine shooting from the field. Phaychanpheng was also a key contributor with 14 points of her own. Phaychanpheng has now scored double-digit points in five consecutive games and in nine of her 10 games this season.
Caltech returns home to face Occidental in a rivalry matchup Saturday, Jan. 10 at Braun Gymnasium in Pasadena at 4:00 p.m.
