Caltech Track & Field achieved several notable results at the Redlands Last Chance in Redlands Calif. May 13-14.  

On the women's side, sophomore Maria Sanchez-Rincon (Tipton, Calif. / Mission Oak High School). Had a strong day setting personal bests in both the 100 (14.88) and the 200 (31.00) races.  

Senior Sophia Steven (Broomfield, Colo. / Peak to Peak Charter) finished second overall in the Shot Put with a mark of 11.91 meters.  

On the men's side, sophomore Brady Akau (Kapolei, Hawaii / Kamehameha Schools Kapalama) set a personal best in the 200 meter race, finishing in 22.33. First-year Da'ron Simmons (Orlando, Fla. / Lyman High School) set a personal best in the same event, finishing in 23.65.  

The NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships take place May 23 in La Crosse, Wis.
