Caltech Track & Field achieved several notable performances at the Azusa Pacific Last Chance in Azusa, Calif. May 8-9.  

On the women's side, senior and multi-sport athlete Sophia Steven (Broomfield, Colo. / Peak to Peak Charter) finsihed sixth in the Shot Put with a personal-best 12.26-meter throw.  

On the men's side, Caltech had a strong day in the 5K. junior Ryan Fortin (Londonderry, N.H. / Londonderry) set a personal best, finishing in 15:06.58. Sophomore Stephen Goehringer (Wellesley, Mass. / Wellesley) also set a personal best at that event, coming in at 15:16.37. Senior Sean Corman (Waterford, Conn. / Waterford High School / Worcester Polytechnic Institute) set his personal best 5K time at 15:46.07.  

The NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships take place Saturday, May 23 in La Crosse, Wis.
