PASADENA, Calif. -- The Caltech women's tennis team kicked off the 2012 campaign with a match against nationally ranked Chapman on Friday afternoon with the 18th ranked Cougars posted a 7-2 win over Caltech.

The Beavers got their first point of the match when the No. 1 doubles team of Rebekah Kitto and Jessica Yu posted an 8-4 win over Melissa Boyer and Amy Logan.

Kitto also gave Caltech their second point of the match with a straight sets win at the top singles slot over Danielle Kaiden.

Caltech hosts the Master's College on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
