Gerung, Hayes, Szczuka Earn Women's Tennis All-SCIAC Honors

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2026 Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams, naming three Beavers among the honorees.

Caltech sophomore Carissa Gerung (Portland, Ore. / Jesuit) earned first-team honors for her outstanding performance at #1 Singles this season. She opened SCIAC play with a thrilling win over the second-ranked player in the Division III national rankings as the Beavers hosted Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, and she picked up four more wins over conference opponents to earn the distinction.

Fellow sophomore Polaris Hayes (Robbinsville, N.J. / The Pennington School) was named to the Second Team by way of her five singles wins against some tough opponents. Senior Anna Sczcuka (Scotch Plains, NJ / Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School) also earned Second Team recognition for her six wins in doubles and four in singles, all at the #2 position.
