REDLANDS, Calif. -- The Caltech women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to SCIAC foe Redlands on Friday afternoon.

The Beavers got their win from Rebekah Kitto at the No. 1 singles slot. The sophomore, who came into the match ranked in the region's top 20, posted a 6-4, 6-4 win.

Redlands prevailed in straight sets in singles positions 2-5 in tallying the team win. The home squad dropped just five games in doubles play in aiding in their victory.

Caltech continues league play with a 10 a.m. match on Saturday morning at Whittier.
