LA MIRADA, CA - In a match that came right down to the wire, the Biola men's tennis team did just enough to pull out a 5-4 win over Caltech.

The Beavers started the team match well as they took two of three doubles points with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. Most notable for the Beavers in those two wins was that second doubles team of Ruthwick Pathireddy and Sathwick Pathireddy and the third doubles squad of Rushikesh Joshi and Morgan Lebby were all underclassmen.

The Eagles claimed victory at the No. 1, No. 3 and No.5 singles position while Caltech's Lebby (No. 6) and Joshi (No. 2) posted wins in their singles matches.

Ultimately the team match came down to a three-set thriller with Tayven Townsend knocking off Sathwick Pathireddy 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to give the home team a win.
