CLAREMONT, Calif. (Mar. 4, 2017) – The Caltech women's tennis rookie duo continued to impress with a pair of tight singles matches at No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday morning.

Freshman Angelica Zhou (Temple City, Calif. / Arcadia) gave West Region No. 15 Jessie Cruz a good fight before succumbing 6-3, 6-4 at court #3, while Alexandra Bodrova (Russia / Kurchatovskaya School) played a well-fought first set before retiring with an injury, 7-5, 4-1 at #4.

Head Coach Mandy Gamble and the Beavers (4-3 overall, 2-1 SCIAC) host No. 34 Christopher Newport University on Tuesday, Mar. 7 at 3 p.m.
