THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2019) – The Caltech men's water polo team played perhaps its best SCIAC game to date at California Lutheran University on Wednesday evening.

The Beavers found cohesion both offensively and defensively, posting 23 shots on goal - the team's most in a conference game this season. Senior goalkeeper Bradley Justice (El Cajon, Calif. / Grossmont) flashed his two-way game, making 12 saves over the full 36 minutes while also scoring from long distance in the third quarter. Junior center Steven Csaposs (Davis, Calif. / Davis) also had a role in the Beavers' big third quarter. Csaposs notched three of his four goals in the third quarter, and his ability to force the opposition into turnovers helped the Beavers outscore the Kingsmen, 5-3, over the second half.

Other players to find the back of the net included freshmen Max Bricken (Portland, Ore. / Westview) and Matthew Hajjar (San Jose, Calif. / The Harker School), who registered two tallies. Bricken, the team's assist leader, also set his teammates up with a pair of helpers, as did junior Rahul Arun (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E Stevenson). 

Head Coach Jon Bonafede and the Beavers will continue their road swing on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the University of Redlands.
