Box Score ORANGE, Calif. (Oct.6, 2021) - Caltech women's soccer faced another talented conference opponent in a road match at Chapman University on Wednesday afternoon.
While giving significant effort in the midfield and defensive thirds, the Beavers couldn't hold off the Panthers' attack. With the win, Chapman moved to 5-2-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference to continue challenging for a Postseason Tournament berth. Jocelyn Kho (Temple City, Calif. / Temple City) and
Schuyler Dick (Hudson, Ohio / Walsh Jesuit) had shots for Caltech on the day but neither of them were on frame.
Goalkeepers
Eve Fine (Locust Valley, N.Y./ Friends Academy) and
Valerie Hetherington (Bozeman, Mont. / Deerfield Acad.) combined to make 13 saves on the 18 shots on goal taken by Chapman, with Fine getting the start for the Beavers.
Head Coach Ellery Gould and the Beavers will take on host Whittier College on Saturday.
