Women's Soccer Regains Footing in Second Half at Oxy

Box Score

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sep. 29, 2021) – Caltech women's soccer bounced back from a pair of recent lopsided defeats to regain their footing in the second half at Occidental College on Wednesday night.

The final score line of 4-0 did not paint an accurate picture of the level of competition between the SCIAC foes as the Beavers did well to limit dangerous chances for the hosts, though the Tigers were absolutely clinical in their finishes. Junior goalkeeper Eve Fine (Locust Valley, N.Y. / Friends Academy) played the first half and saved eight Occidental shots, while second half goalkeeper, sophomore Megan Robertson (Nashville, Tenn. / Harpeth Hall), did not allow a goal in her 45 minutes of action as the center back duo of junior Catherine Kauber (Pleasantville, N.Y. / Pleasantville) and sophomore Cameron Scantlin (San DIego, Calif. / Valhalla) returned to their imposing early-season form.

Head Coach Ellery Gould and the Beavers will host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Clleges on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m.
