LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. — Caltech junior Kathryn Edwards (Centennial, Colo. / Arapahoe) earned SCIAC Women's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week honors, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced on Monday.

The conference awarded Edwards with the achievement for her pair of superb performances this past week. The guard/forward first led the Beavers to a massive 74-57 road victory over Bethesda University on Tuesday, Dec. 12, with Edwards scoring 23 points on 10-for-12 shooting with one 3-pointer in her only attempt. The star also sunk two of her three free throws.

The standout then put up an excellent showing on Saturday, Dec. 16 as Caltech battled Occidental College. Edwards set season-highs in points (24), rebounds (13) and steals (four) in addition to tying her season-high in field goals made (10). The star led the game in all four categories. The 2023 First Team All-SCIAC winner also led the contest in offensive boards (four) in addition to a team-high in 3-pointers, with two.
