The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its April 24, 2024 rankings, listing the Caltech Beavers among the top teams and senior
Emily Zhang (Sharon, Mass. / Sharon) in the top 20 singles players.
The team earned the No. 6 spot in the ITA West Region, also placing 35
th in the nation for Division III women's tennis. Five SCIAC schools made the regional top 10 list with Caltech placing fourth among them, indicating just how strong the competition us during team's conference schedule.
Zhang picked up the No. 18 rank in the regional singles top 20, with 15 other SCIAC players making the list.
Head Coach
Benay Weintraub and the Beavers clinched a berth in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament, securing fourth place outright with a winning record in conference play. The team is idle this weekend, and next week will face the winner of this Saturday's final SCIAC match between Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. More info at
