PASADENA, Calif. — For the second consecutive season, Caltech Men's Soccer standout Matthew Luk (Bel Air, Md. C. / Milton Wright) has been named First Team All-SCIAC, cementing his place among the conference's elite players and becoming one of the program's most accomplished offensive talents.

A junior forward, Luk followed up his 2025 First Team All-SCIAC campaign with another exceptional season in 2026, leading the Beavers in goals, assists, and total points. He finished the year with 10 goals, six assists, and 26 points, ranking among the SCIAC leaders in all three categories. At the conclusion of the regular season, Luk ranked third in the conference in goals, second in assists and third in points.

Throughout the season, Luk consistently delivered in key moments for Caltech. One of his most memorable performances came in a 5-1 road victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, when he recorded a hat trick and an assist. The performance earned him SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors and showcased the playmaking ability that made him one of the conference's most dangerous attacking threats.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Luk continued to rewrite the Caltech record book. During the season, he became the program's all-time leader in career assists, reaching 19 career helpers before even entering his senior year.

Luk's recognition marks another significant achievement for a student-athlete who has been instrumental in the continued rise of the Caltech men's soccer program. Earning First Team All-SCIAC honors in back-to-back seasons is a testament to both his consistency and his impact on the field, where he has established himself as one of the premier forwards in the conference.

With another First Team All-SCIAC selection added to his résumé, Luk enters his senior season as one of the most decorated players in recent Caltech men's soccer history and a cornerstone of the Beavers' attack.
