PASADENA, Calif. -- Nine different players scored a goal as No. 3 ClaremontMuddScripps posted a 20-3 victory over Caltech in a SCIAC women's water polo contest at the Braun Pool. The Atenas 20 goals were a season high.

ClaremontMuddScripps jumped out quickly by scoring eight of the game's first nine goals as they held an 8-1 edge early in the second quarter. The Beavers got their goal when Hanna Dodd scored on Caltech's second possession of the game.
Caltech's second goal of the afternoon came when Peggy Allen recorded her fourth goal of the season during an extra-person attack midway through the second period. The Athenas put any hopes of a Beaver comeback away by scoring three unanswered goals in taking an 11-2 lead at the halftime buzzer.

The visitors continued their scoring onslaught with six goals in the third quarter and three more in the final eight minutes to seal the win.
Candace Filippelli led the offensive charge for ClaremontMuddScripps with a four-goal performance. Jennifer Ward, Jeanne Kelber and Alex Toohey tallied hat tricks for the Athenas.
Karen Dowling also posted a goal for the Beavers.
Caitlin Regan drew a team best two exclusions. Dodd also had an assist and two steals for the Beavers.
