CLAREMONT, Calif. -- Pomona Pitzer used a strong second quarter en route to an 18-5 victory over Caltech in a SCIAC women's water polo contest.

After the first eight minutes the Sagehens held a 4-2 edge. The home squad proceeded to grab all the game's momentum by outscoring Caltech 5-0 during the second quarter as they took a 9-2 edge at the halftime horn.

The nation's fifth ranked squad wouldn't let the Beavers back in the game as they outscored Caltech 5-3 and 4-0 in the third and fourth quarter respectively in posting the win.

Caitlin Regan scored two of the Beaver goals and assisted on another while drawing an exclusion. Hanna Dodd had a quality afternoon with a goal, five steals and two exclusions drawn.

Kati Peters made six saves in goal.
