Late Goals Lift CMS Past Beavers

Box Score

CLAREMONT, CA – Two late goals gave the ClaremontMuddScripps men's soccer team a 3-1 victory over Caltech on Monday evening.

Caltech kept the Stags off the scoreboard in the first half despite being outshot 16-0 in the period.

The home squad put their first tally on the board when Harrison Doyle converted a penalty kick in the 52nd minute.

Mitchell Arene put home the tying goal in the 73rd minutes when Brice Nzeukou found Wein in position for a goal.

However, ClaremontMuddScripps scored the eventually game winner three minutes later on a Jared Bernstein goal. A goal in the 80th minute by Jake Bishop gave the Stags a two-goal cushion to secure the victory.
