WHITTIER, Calif. -- The Caltech women's water polo team concluded their season with an 18-9 loss to La Verne at the year ending SCIAC Championships.

The Leopards took advantage of several person-advantage situations as they scored six goals with the extra attack.

Caltech played tough for the first 24 minutes but couldn't hold down the Leopards offense in the final period. Trailing just 10-7 entering the final eight minutes of action, La Verne scored the first four goals of the frame in doubling-up their lead and grabbing all the game's momentum.

Hanna Dodd finished her strong offensive season in style with a five-goal effort. It was a season high performance against a league opponent for the junior as she finishes the year with 46 goals.

Erin Hoops scored two goals and dished out two assists in her final game in a Beaver suit. Fellow seniors Janis Intoy and Caitlin Regan each scored a goal to round out the Caltech net finders. Regan also drew a team high five exclusions.
