PASADENA, CA - In a nail-biter from start-to-finish the UT-Tyler women's tennis team posted a 5-4 win over Caltech on Tuesday evening.

The Patriots won two of three doubles matches but still had to sweat out a tight conclusion.

The double tandem of Rebekah Kitto and Monica remained undefeated at the top spot after fighting off two match points before winning 9-8 (8-6) in the No. 1 doubles position.

Kitto and Li both cruised to straight sets win in singles play while Jessica Yu won a three-setter at the No. 4 singles spot to set up a dramtic finish.

The final match to conclude was between Jessica Yeung and Janae Warren in the fifth singles spot. After splitting the first two sets, Warren was able to come out with a 6-4 win in the final set to give the Patriots the team win.
