PASADENA, CA - The Caltech women's water polo season came to a
close with two games at the SCIAC Championships.
La Verne 15, Caltech 7 (Box Score)
Both Nicole Tuning and Maddie Loverensky had hat tricks in helping
the Leopards into the main drawn of the Championships.
La Verne scored the game's first five goals and eventually went up
7-2 after the first period. The Leopards continued to find the back
of the cage in the second period and held Caltech's offense in
check en route to the victory.

Dowling each had two goals for the Beavers.
Chapman 14, Caltech 4 (Box Score)
A six-goal outburst in the third period proved to be the
difference in the Panthers victory.
Caltech scored three of the first four goals as they held a 3-1
lead with 5:42 left in the second period. Chapman added a goal late
in the second period and rode that momentum through the second
half.
The Beavers got two goals from Hanna Dodd while Souyma Kannann
and Karen Dowling each found the back of the cage.
Julie Case had a third period hat trick while Alison Quincy,
Samantha McLaughlin, Samantha Martin and Miranda Estrella each had
two goals.
