LA VERNE, CA - In Caltech's women's tennis match with La Verne on Saturday afternoon Rebekah Kitto made school history.
Kitto remained undefeated in her 14 matches at the No. 2 singles spot. Her 14 wins set a new school record for most singles wins in a season. She pass the mark set by Natsuko Kagawa and Alexis Johnson.
La Verne won the team match 8-1 as they swept five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
The top doubles match saw a pair of regionally ranked teams square off. The Leopards duo of Laina Matsuda and Jeanette Losaria came into the match ranked 10th while Kitto and Monica Li had a ranking of eight. The La Verne combo won the match by an 8-5 tally.
Caltech continues SCIAC play when they host Pomona-Pitzer next Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.
