LOS ANGELES, CA - In a men's soccer match-up, a big second half surge in goals lifted Occidental to a SCIAC victory over Caltech.

Occidental scored two goals in the 23rd minute as they grabbed a 2-0 lead at halftime. The home standing Tigers exploded for seven goals in the second half to pull away for the win.

Marcus Branford had two goals and an assist to pace the Occidental effort.

Caltech returns home on Saturday afternoon for a 4 p.m. match-up with fellow SCIAC foe Cal Lutheran.
