Beaver Conclude Three-Game Stretch Against Division I VMI

PASADENA, CA - Ending a season opening stretch where they played three games in three days, Caltech fell to VMI 15-1 on Wednesday evening.

It was the second time in three days the Beavers faced an NCAA Division I foe. On Monday evening the Beavers battled with Siena.

The Keydets had three players posted hat tricks in the win. Baily Huddleston had a team best five goals. Cecilya Lundy and MacKenzie Perkins each chipped in three goals.

Souyma Kannan had a team best five shots and scored Caltech goal in the fourth period. The sophomore has found the back the net four times this season. Kelsey Spaur continued to work down low as she got off four shots in the game.

Caltech's Connie Hsueh blocked seven shots in front of the cage.

The Beavers take the next week off for winter term finals. Caltech next game is a home contest against SCIAC foe Whittier on Wednesday, March 19 at 4:00 p.m.
