Caltech Falls in Final Game in Arizona

TUCSON, AZ - The Beavers concluded their four-game, four-day trip to Arizona with a 17-2 setback to Middlebury.

Looking to build on their momentum from winning their first game of the season a few days prior, Caltech couldn't keep the momentum going.

Middlebury banged out 14 hits and limited the Beavers to four in posting the win. The Panthers scored in six of the eight innings they came to the plate including scoring four runs in four seperate innings.

Thomas Kwok, Tim Menninger, Albie Lavin and Oliver Curtiss each had a hit for Caltech.

Alex Kelly led the Middlebury offense with a 4-for-5 effort with four runs scored.

Caltech returns to SCIAC action as they play nationally ranked Cal Lutheran in a three-game weekend set beginning on Friday in Thousand Oaks.
