PASADENA, CA - The Caltech women's water polo squad opened the April portion of their schedule against ClaremontMuddScripps - the top ranked team in NCAA Division III.

The Athenas had eight different players find the back of the cage as they posted a 13-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon.

Haley Connor and Emily Gran each posted a hat trick in the win for the Athenas. Candace Filippelli chipped-in a two-goal afternoon.

While Caltech didn't get a goal they fired off 18 shots led by Soumya Kannan's six. Kelsey Spaur recorded five shots while Shalini Majumdar attempted four.

Connie Hsueh made nine blocks in front of the cage for Caltech.

The Beavers continue their SCIAC slate of games on Saturday when they travel to La Verne for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
